According to Alexa traffic figures, Facebook is currently the 4th most visited site on the Internet. It’s no wonder many businesses and other organizations have joined the scene. If Facebook is a good fit for your brand, there are many ways you can use it to build your brand image and communicate with your customers.
- Start a Facebook Page. A Facebook page is to an organization what a Faceboook profile is to an individual. A Facebook page, however, gives you more control of content and has extra ways to communicate with people who become fans (“fans” are like “friends”). To see more, visit our page, then click “become a fan.”
- Post Content. Just like on a profile, a page is a place to post photos, videos, news articles, links, updates, and events. Keep up a stream of interesting stuff – don’t use your page simply as a way to push selling messages or you’ll lose fans.
- Add Profiles. Does your mascot have a profile? Does your corporate spokesperson? How about your sales staff? Your CEO? Having more people in your organization listing themselves as fans of your organization will get you more exposure.
- Promote Your Site. Social networking requires connections. Send out an e-mail announcing your page, promote it in your company newsletter, and add a link to your Web site. You can even purchase targeted ads on Facebook.
Many of these tasks are easy to do, but if you need help (or if your office network blocks Facebook), we can help.
